Attempts to celebrate the anniversary of Russian aggression against Ukraine and the treacherous capture of the ARC's cynical look, said the foreign Ministry of Ukraine

MFA of Ukraine expresses its decisive protest in connection with the visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and other Russian officials in Russian-occupied Crimea. The corresponding statement published on the Ministry's website.

It notes that "attempts to celebrate the anniversary of Russian aggression against Ukraine and treacherous occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea seem cynical on the background of the serious economic, social and humanitarian problems on the Peninsula."

The foreign Ministry says that in 2 years the Kremlin occupants were able to return to the Crimea in the "Stalin era of authoritarianism, injustice and repression".

"The state continues to violate the aggressor in the occupied territory human rights, perpetrating terror against dissenters. On the Peninsula there are virtually no freedom of speech, media and religion. Every day we witness the systematic oppression of the rights of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars", - said in a statement.

All responsibility for these and other violations is vested in the Russian Federation "as a state-occupier in accordance with international law, to its officers, as well as the illegal occupying power", said the foreign Ministry.

Today Putin arrived on the island Tuzla in occupied Russia in the Crimea, where he visited the construction site of the bridge across the Kerch Strait.
