Initially, the experts believed that the radiation source is dark matter. In the study, they used Fermi space telescope, designed to observe different areas of the cosmos in the gamma-band.
The scientists also conducted a hydrodynamic modeling of gas distribution. This was necessary in order to confirm that dark matter is a source of gamma radiation.
But in the end, the researchers came to the conclusion that the most likely sources are the millisecond pulsars, neutron stars, rotation of which around its axis is 1-10 milliseconds.
