Minister of foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin at a meeting of foreign Ministers of States members of the world coalition in the fight against the Islamic state said that Ukraine continues to contribute to the fight against ISIS.
How to reported Tuesday, February 13, press service of the foreign Ministry, Klimkin took part in the meeting in Kuwait under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabahat and Secretary Rex Tillerson.
The participants of the meeting discussed ways of providing care coalition in the fight against the revival of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, stability, reintegration and rehabilitation of these territories, and identified the guiding principles for the coalition in the fight against the Islamic state as manifestations of international terrorism.
"In his speech during a meeting dedicated to the question of the neutralization network and centers of ISIS in the world, Pavlo Klimkin stressed that Ukraine, as a member of the coalition, fully shares its values and principles and strategic objectives to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Ukraine continues to contribute to the fight against ISIL, in particular taking an active part in the activities of the working group on combating terrorism," – said in a statement the foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
At a meeting of the world coalition against ISIS was attended by representatives of about 80 countries and international organizations.
In Kuwait city Klimkin also held bilateral meetings with Minister for foreign Affairs of Australia Julie Bishop and foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu.
